Ing. Dr. Emmanuel W. Ramde, a Senior Lecturer in Thermofluids and Energy Systems at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), has been appointed Director of The Brew Hammond Energy Center.
Ing. Dr. Emmanuel Ramde takes over this position from Dr. Gabriel Takyi of the Materials and Production Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Dr. Ramde has served as the Ghana National Representative of ANSOLE in West Africa. He is also a reviewer in a couple of journals including Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, African Journal of Science, Technology, Innovation and Development and British Journal of Applied Technologies.
His main research interests are in Air conditioning and Refrigeration, Renewable Energy Conversion, Solar Thermal Technologies, Wind energy Technology, Energy conversion and utilization, Thermodynamics, Applied Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Fluids Mechanics, Turbo-machinery, Aerodynamics, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, Mechanical Engineering Laboratory.
