The Solar Capacity Upgrading Project (SolarCUP) was funded by the World Bank with a US$523,000 grant (closed in September 2012). This project provided solar energy research equipment and software tools provided Research Assistantships among other high-impact activities. This 2-year project was coordinated by Mr. David Ato Quansah with support from Mr. I. A. Edwin of the Solar Energy Applications Laboratory (SEAL) and Dr. David Anipa of the Department of Computer Engineering.
