We had the honour last week (15th May 2024) of receiving a team from the TU Delft Global Initiative. The team comprised Dr. Claire Hallewas, Dr. Bas Berends and Dr. Hubert Linssen. The visit was part of activities to operationalize an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between KNUST and TU Delft. Director of The Brew-Hammond Energy Centre, Ing. Dr. David Ato Quansah briefed the team on the operational structure of the Centre and the range of activities that the Centre undertakes, including its research, training and capacity-building activities and its advisory services. During discussions, strong interest emerged around the theme of sustainability, actions to reduce diesel consumption by generators on campus and behavioural aspects of energy efficiency. Present at the meeting were some Fellows of the Centre, including Ing. Dr Lena Dzifa Mensah, Prof. Gabriel Takyi and Dr. Yen Adams Sokama-Neuyam.
