About the Project

The project focuses on studying and improving the involvement of communities in renewable energy initiatives, particularly Solar PV projects in Ghana. The aim is to gather insights from stakeholders to identify strengths, challenges, and potential improvements in participation models. As part of the research we engage in organizations to understand their experiences and perspectives on community involvement in renewable energy projects.

Activities Undertaken:

  1. Embarked on a fieldwork to various Solar PV plants in Ghana including, Gomoa Onyadze, Bui, Yendi, Lawra, and Kaleo to collect and gather data in the month of February.
  2. Stakeholders Workshop on the discussion on β€œEnhancing Community Participation in Renewable Energy Projects, particularly Solar PV initiatives in Ghana in the month of March.
