Published: 7th December 2010

The Energy Center (TEC) of the College of Engineering, KNUST in partnership with l'Institut international d'IngΓ©nierie de l'Eau et de l'Environnement (2iE), Ouagadougou is implementing a Renewable Energy Education Project (REEP) with support from the EU-ACP/EDULINK Programmme. TEC is also implementing a Renewable Energy Enterprise Development (REED) project with support from Trust Africa, a partnership between the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada and Ford Foundation of the US.

As part of the REEP project, short courses are organized to help build local and sub-regional capacity in the development and utilization of Renewable Energy Technologies (RETs). The short courses put equal emphasis on theory and hands-on skills acquisition and enable the participants to conceptualize and implement activities linking renewable energy services to poverty reduction, economic development, health and environment.

Organizations and individuals that need to develop expertise in Renewable Energy Technologies such as Solar Photovoltaic Systems, Biogas and Biofuels systems will find this course very beneficial.

Titles and dates for the next set of REEP short courses are as follows:
