As part of its continuing efforts at helping to build capacity in Renewable Energy Technology and Policy within the ECOWAS Sub-Region, The Energy Center with the support of its sponsors and partners, is glad to announce its series of training programmes and workshops for 2012.
Facilitators for the training sessions are drawn from KNUST, Ghana, the International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering – 2iE Burkina Faso, and other international partners. The support of the World Bank and the EDULINK Programme of the EU-ACP Secretariat is gratefully acknowledged.
The programmes are designed to equip participants with relevant and requisite skills to implement renewable energy technologies and policies that are geared towards meeting the needs of the countries in the Sub-region and Africa at large.

2. Installation and Monitoring of Grid-Connected Solar PV Systems, 6 – 11 Feb, US$250
3. Energy Policy and Planning, 13 – 24 Feb, US$400
4. Renewable Energy Project Analysis (RETScreen & WAsP), 27 Feb – 10 March, US$400
5. Design and Installation of Stand-Alone Solar PV Systems, 14 – 18 May, US$250
6. Biofuels Technology and Economics, 14 – 18 May, US$250
7. Biogas Design and Construction 21 – 25 May, US$250
Courses 1 to 4 are classified as advance courses, and participants generally require a minimum of a University degree to enrol; persons with Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) who have considerable industrial/field experience may send their CVs for consideration.
Places for the various courses are offered to qualified applicants on a first-come first-served (FCFS) basis. Female applicants are entitled to a 25% discount on the applicable fees.
