The Bioenergy Markets West Africa conference and exhibition is targeting key players from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region as well as global industry experts. The conference seeks to provide comprehensive information and knowledge on energy and its importance to development and the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals. It will also highlight West Africaβs agricultural potential for bioenergy production while maintaining a focus on food security in the region.
The Bioenergy Markets West Africa Conference hopes to reduce rising import bills, especially for oil-importing ECOWAS Member States, through substitution of locally produced, biopower, biogas, bioethanol and biodiesel.
