Thank you for your interest in pursuing a postgraduate programme at the Brew-Hammond Energy Centre, College of Engineering, KNUST. Applying for a programme is an important step toward your future — and we're here to help. Our programmes are managed by the College of Engineering, KNUST. Also, the admissions process is managed by the Central Admissions Office and the School of Graduate Studies.

The application process is simple and it's completed online. Our Office is open from 9 am to 5 pm daily at our main campus in KNUST, Kumasi. Our friendly officers are available for a chat via phone and email during opening hours.

Required Documents

Have the following documents ready before starting your application.

Passport Photo

470 × 470 pixels. JPG/JPEG/PNG with a light green background.

Undergraduate Certificate

Prepare a clear copy in PDF format.

Birth Certificate

Prepare a clear copy in PDF format.

National ID

National identification document in PDF format.

Two References

Provide the details of two referees as required.

Ghanaian Applicants

Step 1: Sign up and Verify an Account

Visit admissions.knust.edu.gh to Sign up and verify your account.

Step 2: Purchase an E-Voucher or Verify an E-Voucher

After verifying your account, proceed to Purchase an E-Voucher or Verify an existing E-Voucher

How to purchase an E-Voucher

The online application E-Voucher can be purchased via:

Option 1: The KNUST Admissions Portal.

Purchase an E-voucher via bank card (VISA/Mastercard) or Mobile Money (All networks). After signing up and verifying your account, proceed to:

  1. Select the Ghanaian Applicant Option.
  2. Select Purchase Voucher Online.
  3. Choose your Programme Type: Postgraduate.
  4. Select your Programme Stream: Regular Stream.
  5. Select application form category: Postgraduate Ghanaian.
  6. Proceed to make payment.
  7. After payment, start the application.

NB: For Options 2 and 3 below, make sure you have an Admissions Portal account set up before validating a previously purchased voucher. Visit admissions.knust.edu.gh to create an account if you don’t have one.

Option 2: USSD code.

  1. From a mobile device, type *415*55#. Follow the prompts to purchase an E-voucher via Mobile Money (All Networks).
  2. After completing your purchase, log in to the Admissions Portal.
  3. Select the Ghanaian Applicant Option.
  4. Select Voucher Verification.
  5. After Voucher Verification, start the application.

Option 3: Designated Ghana Post Offices.

  1. Purchase an E-Voucher from designated Ghana Post Offices.
  2. After your purchase, log in to the Admissions Portal.
  3. Select the Ghanaian Applicant Option.
  4. Select Voucher Verification.
  5. After Voucher Verification, start the application.

International Applicants

The online application E-Voucher can be purchased via The KNUST Admissions Portal. Purchase an E-voucher via bank card (VISA/Mastercard).

  2. Purchase Voucher Online.
